A New Year, New Adventures: Behind the Scenes of My Group Travel Journey
Published Wednesday, January 28th 2026A New Year, A New Chapter
It’s hard to believe how quickly time flies when you’re building something you love. I’ll be honest — life, business, and travel got busy, and before I knew it, six months had passed without a blog update. But that doesn’t mean I’ve been standing still. Quite the opposite.
Over the past year, I had the privilege of hosting two incredible group trips that reminded me why I took “The Leap” in the first place. These weren’t just vacations — they were milestones, lessons, and moments I’ll carry with me forever.
Alaska: A Birthday I’ll Never Forget
In August 2025, I took a group of eight amazing travelers to Alaska aboard the Norwegian Bliss. It was my first time hosting an Alaska group — and what a way to do it.
One of the highlights was an unforgettable excursion where we flew by helicopter to Mendenhall Glacier and actually landed on top of it. Standing on that glacier was surreal. We also rode huskies, learned about the life of mushers and their dogs, and heard the incredible story of Togo. It was emotional, inspiring, and eye-opening all at once.
And then… the Northern Lights.
Yes — we saw them.
To witness something that powerful during my birthday week made the entire trip even more special. It felt like a reminder from God that I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
Of course, while everyone else was relaxing, I was wearing two hats: Travel Advisor first, vacationer second. Making sure everyone was good, answering questions, solving little issues — that always comes first. And in the end, everything worked out beautifully.
One thing Alaska taught me again is that people remember what they want to remember. No matter how many meetings you hold or documents you provide, some people think they know it all. And that’s okay — because traveling together teaches you so much about people. It builds patience, understanding, and leadership.
Bahamas & New York: My Biggest Group Yet
Then, at the beginning of the new year, I led my biggest group so far — 16 people, 8 cabins — on a Bahamas cruise aboard MSC Meraviglia.
But before we even set sail, six of us traveled from Las Vegas to New York City for a full day of sightseeing. From early morning to late night in Times Square, we explored the city nonstop. It was honestly one of the best New York trips I’ve ever had.
For several members of the group, this was a true bucket-list experience — and I was determined to make it unforgettable. From start to finish, it delivered.
Onboard MSC Meraviglia, the energy was incredible. Our group included members from the LaSalle College soccer team, family, and my LeTip network — such a fun mix of personalities and connections.
And then there was White Night.
If you’ve never experienced White Night on a cruise, let me tell you — it is pure joy. Everyone dressed in white, dancing, laughing, celebrating life. That night alone made the trip worth it.
More Than Trips — It’s a Calling
These two trips reminded me that what I do goes far beyond bookings and itineraries.
I’m there:
- Before the trip,
- During the trip,
- Behind the scenes,
- And long after everyone gets home
I’m managing logistics, expectations, emotions, personalities, and surprises — all while trying to make sure everyone has the time of their lives.
And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Yes, it’s exhausting sometimes.
Yes, it stretches me.
Yes, it teaches me new lessons every single time.
But it also fills my heart in ways I can’t explain.
Looking Ahead
As I step into this new year, I’m more focused than ever. These past trips showed me that I’m capable of leading bigger groups, creating deeper experiences, and building something that truly matters.
More destinations.
More memories.
More growth.
More impact.
This journey is just getting started.
Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with your vacations, your milestones, and your memories. You are the reason I do this.
Here’s to what’s next.
