TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1. PLANNING FEE & SERVICES

After the initial consultation and delivery of a customized travel proposal, the Client agrees to pay a non-refundable Planning Fee of $150. This fee covers the time, research, expertise, and personalized attention dedicated to curating the Client’s travel experience.

The Planning Fee includes:

  • ·Initial consultation to discuss travel preferences, goals, and budget
  • ·Research and creation of a customized travel itinerary
  • ·Delivery of a detailed travel proposal
  • ·Ongoing communication regarding questions or adjustments to the proposal prior to booking

The Planning Fee is due upon receipt of the proposal and must be paid before booking arrangements are made.

2. BOOKING AUTHORIZATION

By proceeding with a booking, the Client authorizes Start My Holiday and its affiliated travel suppliers to make reservations on the Client’s behalf. The Client acknowledges that all bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective travel suppliers, including cruise lines, hotels, resorts, airlines, and tour operators.

Clients are responsible for reviewing all confirmations, invoices, itineraries, and travel documents upon receipt and must notify Start My Holiday immediately of any errors or discrepancies.

3. PAYMENTS & DEPOSITS

Deposits and payments are subject to the terms and conditions of the travel supplier. Certain reservations may require non-refundable deposits at the time of booking. Final payment dates vary by supplier and destination. Clients are responsible for making all payments by the specified due dates. Failure to submit payment on time may result in cancellation of the reservation, loss of deposits, additional fees, or changes in pricing.

Start My Holiday is not responsible for penalties, cancellations, or supplier-imposed fees resulting from late or missed payments.

4. CANCELATION & CHANGES

Cancellation policies vary by supplier and are subject to the terms and conditions of the cruise line, hotel, resort, airline, or tour operator involved.

The Planning Fee remains non-refundable regardless of whether the Client proceeds with the booking or cancels travel plans.

Changes to existing reservations may result in supplier change fees, airfare penalties, additional costs, or rebooking charges. Requests for modifications are subject to availability and supplier approval.

5. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel protection is strongly recommended for all travelers. Travel insurance may help protect against cancellation penalties, medical emergencies, travel delays, lost luggage, supplier default, and unforeseen circumstances.

If travel protection is declined, the Client accepts full responsibility for any financial loss associated with cancellations, interruptions, medical expenses, or travel disruptions.

6. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS & RESPONSIBILITY

Clients are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid travel documentation, including passports, visas, identification, vaccination records, and any other required entry documents.

Passports must typically remain valid for at least six months beyond the return travel date unless otherwise specified by the destination country.

All traveler names provided for booking must match government-issued identification exactly. Start My Holiday is not responsible for costs associated with incorrect information, denied boarding, or denied entry due to documentation issues.

7. AIRFARE TERMS

Airfare is subject to airline rules, restrictions, and fare conditions. Most airline tickets are non-refundable and may carry change penalties or fare differences if modifications are requested.

Airlines may adjust schedules, seating assignments, routes, or operating carriers without prior notice. Start My Holiday is not responsible for airline schedule changes, delays, cancellations, baggage fees, or operational disruptions.

8. SPECIAL REQUESTS & MEDICAL NEEDS

Clients are responsible for informing Start My Holiday of any special requests, accessibility needs, dietary restrictions, mobility concerns, or medical conditions at the time of booking.

While every effort will be made to communicate requests to suppliers, fulfillment of special requests cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed directly by the supplier.

9. PRICING & SUPPLIER CHANGES

Travel pricing is subject to availability and may change until a deposit or full payment is received and processed.

Quoted prices may not include fuel surcharges, government-imposed taxes, port fees, baggage fees, gratuities, or additional supplier charges unless specifically stated.

Travel suppliers reserve the right to make itinerary changes, substitutions, or operational adjustments at any time.

10. ACCEPTANCE OF RISK

The Client understands and acknowledges that travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to illness, injury, weather disruptions, transportation delays, supplier insolvency, political unrest, and other unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of Start My Holiday.

By booking travel, the Client voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in travel activities.

11. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

Start My Holiday acts solely as an independent travel advisor and intermediary between the Client and third-party travel suppliers. Start My Holiday is not responsible for the acts, omissions, errors, delays, injuries, losses, accidents, or defaults of any airline, cruise line, hotel, resort, transportation provider, or other travel supplier.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Start My Holiday disclaims liability for any loss, damage, inconvenience, injury, or expense arising from travel services provided by third parties.

12. BOOKING ON BEHALF OF OTHERS

If the Client is booking travel on behalf of additional travelers, the Client represents and warrants that they have obtained authorization from all travelers to act on their behalf and accept these Terms & Conditions on their behalf.

The primary traveler assumes responsibility for communicating all booking information, policies, and travel requirements to all parties included in the reservation.

13. AGREEMENT ACCEPTANCE

Payment of the Planning Fee, submission of a deposit, or authorization of any travel booking constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
